In “Charlotte the Scientist Finds a Cure,” Charlotte, a young bunny who loves science, faces a mysterious malady: lots of animals in the forest are getting sick! What could have caused it? Charlotte does some information gathering, runs scientific tests, and tries to figure out the sickness. Older doctors tell Charlotte that they will figure it out on their own and don’t need her help; Charlotte wonders if she really can make a difference with her research since she’s so young. Written by Camille Andros, the book has a lot of fun and long words that kids may not know, but luckily there is a glossary in the back of the book! Brianne Farley’s illustrations are detailed and colorful without seeming too busy. Comical pictures of the animals will make kids laugh along with the funny story.

Aimed at ages 4 to 7 years old, this is the second book in the “Charlotte the Scientist” series after “Charlotte the Scientist is Squished.” A fun read with a strong STEM component, children will enjoy following along as Charlotte performs her science!
