Readers are provided facts about the makeup of the poles, life on the poles, arctic animals, and the earth’s axis and its impact on the poles. The main characters are the familiar Cat in the Hat and Thing One and Thing Two.

This book is chock full of information that is a great general introduction to polar basics in a relatable format. This is an updated version of a 2010 publication.
