This book provides information about a collection of endangered animals from around the world. There is a more diverse representation of animals beyond the usual cute and cuddly mammals, including a beetle and a dragonfly. Each two page spread includes an illustration of the animal combined with maps of where they’re found and text about the animal. It includes cultural significance, historical facts, biological information, and a potential prognosis.I do wish there were actual images of the animals instead of illustrations, though the illustrations are well done. Each animal is also presented as a stamp, and the significance or rationale for this layout isn’t well explained. This book would be great for 3rd grade and up budding scientists or just those interested in learning more about endangered species.
