The book was adapted from the teleplay and after reading reviews it seems that the book follows the first two episodes of the Netflix series exactly in hopes of creating a fanbase for the Netflix series. The best part of this book is the Foreward written by Gina Rodriguez who voices Carmen Sandiego for the new series; the rest of the book is filled with predictable events and trite dialogue. For Grades 5 and up.
