A retelling of the fable of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Dob is a “dobber” (Australian slang for a tattletale) who watches his brother’s every move and delights in tattling to their mother until both brother and mother have had enough.  When Bob is attacked by a crocodile, Dob must use his storytelling skills to rescue his brother. Avery employs a narrator’s description as well as word bubbles within the illustrations.  Bold illustrations with Bob as blue, Dob as red, and Mother as an purple. Every library needs some books about tattling and its repercussions. This one wil resonate with 4-7 year olds.
