Murray, a wide-eyed, floppy eared puppy, is afraid of many things – rain, other dogs, loud noises, nightmares. Murray overcomes these fears by being brave. That doesn’t necessarily mean that all goes well. I like that about the book – even when you’re brave there might be setbacks. This book should be shared with shy, hesitant children who need some inspiration to overcome their own anxieties. Plenty of places for discussion about the pictures as they are quite expressive. A gem for those preschoolers who may need a little help about how to be brave.
